Henry Wallace

Henry Wallace screwed by the Democratic Party. 

Wallace became a more complete advocate for economic equality when he began to fight for racial justice, as well. Demonstrating a willingness to confront his biases and learn, Wallace came to recognize that any program or law intending to combat poverty must contain explicit and concrete tools for redressing racism. Fairness can’t be achieved after the fact; it has to be part of the process.

Sanders and Wallace - clearly progressive brothers.  The one difference between the two is that the party will not be able to screw Bernie this time around - they they will try.

NEW: The @BernieSanders campaign just informed the press corp that the Senator cut his head on a glass shower door this morning. He went to a walk-in clinic, received 7 stitches and was given a “clean bill of health.” (more)

Even with stitches, Bernie is still fighting the good fight for all of us.

Terrorism in New Zealand

At least 49 people killed as they were praying in a mosque.  The possible gunman talked about Trump as ""a symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose". This was just a few days after our fascist president threatened that his supporters may get violent if they don't get his/their way.

What has become of us?

To compare Trump to Nixon (Watergate/Vietnam...) or even Hitler does not really fit. He is his own unique and terrible person. Dictator? Fascist? Ego-maniac? Liar? They all fit but even put together they don't match this guy.

Of course, IMO the hope is Bernie! But even when he is President, we will still be faced with the hordes of 45 supporters who are racist, Islamophobes, homophobes... How will we deal with them?

We truly need a REVOLUTION - not only to bring Bernie and his great ideas into power but a revolution of our spirit so that we can all work together.

It is a monumental task. But it must be accomplished or we are doomed.
