Federal officials have warned Irene could cause flooding, power outages or worse all along the East Coast as far north as Maine, even if it stays offshore. The projected path has gradually shifted to the east and Irene could make landfall anywhere from South Carolina to Massachusetts over the weekend.Flooding? Okay I can live with that. Feel comfortable with that - I can deal with water in the basement - if that is the worst.
But wind? What about the trees? Even more troubling - what about my tomato plants. sure they are staked but can those stakes fly away in 100 mile winds?
May have to sit in the garden holding those plants down this Sunday. Can I borrow anyone's rain gear?
